For whom is this residence permit relevant?
Even if you do not meet the requirements for a Blue Card, you may be eligible for a residence permit for employment if:
- you have vocational training
- you would like to work in Germany
- you have a concrete job offer and
- Your qualification is recognized or can be recognized in Germany
Prerequisites
In order to obtain a residence permit for employment, the following requirements must generally be met:
- Recognized vocational training
Your training must be recognized in Germany or be comparable to German training - without vocational training
You do not need recognized training if you have one of the following nationalities: Great Britain, USA, Canada, Australia, Israel, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand - Concrete job offer
You need a binding job offer in Germany. - Approval of the Federal Employment Agency
In many cases, it is checked whether the working conditions are appropriate.
